All projects must be covered by ContractingTrust weather you receive them from ContractingTrust or elsewhere. All contractors must pay a $295 dollar sign up fee to become an active guaranteed contractor. Unless a promotion discount is offered.
How to warranty a project
Coverage Limitations
- No claim under $1000 or over 100,000, or 50,000 depending on the policy used.
- The warranty is governed by the state law where the work is located.
- The warranty is limited to the time of project completion.
- Any and all written change orders performed by a ContractingTrust association member in good standing are covered under the warranty provided that the contract has been forwarded to ContractingTrust as required.
- Can replace surety bond.
The Process
By entering into a ContractingTrust warranty with your client, ContractingTrust assures the construction receivables on contracts. In the event there is a dispute, both parties first attempt to resolve the issue privately. If that is not successful, a claim is filed by either party with ContractingTrust. The filing party can choose to arbitrate up to one year of the project completion. The arbitration process is through an impartial third party. Once a ruling is made by an arbitrator, ContractingTrust assures compensation.
Homeowners can not purchase this product without their contractor's participation.
Premiums can be paid per contract or as shown below:
Contractors must pay a registration fee of $295.00 dollars unless they belong to a special promotion.
Should a contractor decide to pay monthly, a 20% deposit shall be required with ten monthly payments to follow. The amount shall be based on projected sales. The Warranty premium shall be adjusted at the end of each year, according to the volume of covered projects and warranty limit fee. 1.5% for 50,000 dollar claim limit & 2% for 100,000 dollars claim limit.
